GIFF events will be hosted by a number of smaller community hubs and sites during the festival.

This is aimed at making a wider number of short films available to people living regionally and at differing offerings.

On Saturday 14th of March 2026 GIFF will screen a selection of short films at the Noojee Heritage Centre located in historic and picturesque Noojee. We will be projecting films onto a steam train! This will be an outdoor cinema event preceded by the West Gippsland Concert Band that will play cinema inspired music from 7.30pm to 8pm before film screenings begin at 8.15pm and run until 9.45pm.  Snacks and beverages will be available from the Heritage Centre Cafe and Gift shop, including popcorn and hot food. Tickets can be booked via Humanitix or purchased at the door. Tickets to this screening are limited in number.

On Sunday 15th of March 2026 GIFF will screen a selection of short films at Rokeby Town Hall located in Rokeby. This will be a matinee event with screenings from 12.30pm to 3.30pm. Tea and coffee will be available at the hall.  Tickets can be booked via Humanitix or purchased on the day at the door.  Tickets to this screening are limited in number.
